The Fourth China Charity Fair Kicks Off in Shenzhen, Trading Volume over 10 Billion yuan
On Sept. 18, 2015, 4th China Charity Fair (CCF) kicks off in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Officials present at the fair include Ma Xingrui, deputy secretary of Communist Party committee of Guangdong; Wang Wenbin, deputy director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC); Geng Haiguang, vice-governor of Guangdong; Xie Jinrong, vice chairman of All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce; Wang Naikun, chairperson of China Foundation for Disabled Persons and Ling Wen, chairman of Shenhua Foundation. They visit some halls of the fair and attend resources matchmaking activities.
Themed as “Poverty Alleviation, Great Love”, 4th CCF have 10 Theme Pavilions and 3 Special Pavilions. Theme Pavilions include Poverty Alleviation (including Disaster Relief); Education for Charity; Maker Space; International Charity; Eco-type Charity; Community Development; Support to Charity (including Finance for Charity) ; Social Service and Social Responsibility while 3 Special Pavilion include China Charity Video Festival;Charity Fair and Art Charity. There are 2,588 institutes and projects from home and abroad participating in the fair, the number increases by 30.4%. The total trading volume is likely to surpass 10 billion yuan.
Group Innovation Space is an outstanding feature of this fair, which demonstrates more than 200 cases in terms of innovation, entrepreneur, maker and venture philanthropy. Besides, it also introduces international certification for social enterprises.
Charity Fair receives about 110,000 items (about 50 million yuan) from individuals and enterprises to solve social problems. Art Charity explores new ways to combine art and charity for public welfare organizations’ diversity. It displays some modern famous works and sales charity works and projects for philanthropy. Charity Fair has a Screening Room showing more than 600 well-made works in China Charity Public Welfare Projects Contests.
One outstanding feature of 4th CCF is internationalization. It attracts more than 200 foreign guests and institutes and demonstrates experiences of foreign institutes and domestic excellent projects.
In terms of Conference and Seminar Sector, 4th CCF focuses on hot issues and topics, such as Internet Plus, Internationalization, maker and innovation. Besides, China Charity Fair Organization Committee firstly introduced “TEFL” in CCF to promote charity projects’ sustainable development. To communicate with each other better, new ways of demonstration , such as Roadshow, QR code wall, are introduced.
China Charity Fair is a national charity gathering cosponsored by Ministry of Civil Affairs, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC), All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), People's Government of Guangdong Province, Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and China Charity Federation. On July 12, 2012, 1st CCF is held in Shenzhen.
The past 3 CCFs has attracted 2,296 institutes and about 460,000 visitors in the fair. There are 1,052 matchmaking projects and the total trading volume is 6.879 billion yuan. The number of activities reaches 270 and 1,300 news reporters from more than 300 news media cover the charity gala.
