In order to innovate social governance and promote social construction, in 2012, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Guangdong Provincial Government, the Shenzhen Municipal Government and the China Charity Federation and other organizers jointly established the CHINA CHARITY FAIR (CCF), which has introduced charity projects into the exhibition industry, opened up a new path for charity development through the exhibition in the form of open sharing and win-win cooperation, and filled a major gap in the field of charity in China. The CCF is the only national, comprehensive and international charity industry event in China, and is another major national exhibition held in Shenzhen Special Economic Zone after the China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) and the International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).
With nine sessions of exploration, cultivation and discovery, CCF has made active exploration in assisting poverty alleviation and promoting the innovative development of charity. According to statistics, it has covered 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan; has attracted 10,663 exhibitors, nearly 1.3 million offline visitors and a total of over 25.5 million online visitors and interactive participants; and has held more than 1,600 public charity activities and docked 2,620 projects with 70.1 billion yuan, along with over 38,000 news reports. As cultivating a large number of charitable organizations, public welfare projects and public welfare talents, it has not only become a showcase of China's charitable development achievements, a catalyst for modern charitable concepts and charity development, but also become an important window for the international community to observe the charity in China and even experience the “temperature” of China.
