From September 20 to 22, the Sixth China Charity Fair (hereinafter referred to as the CCF) is held in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. On September 20, 8:30 am, this CCF officially kicks off in the wonderful singing and dancing performance of the Yi nationality by the children from Sichuan Daliangshan Mawei Children's Art Troupe and the matching of major poverty alleviation projects witnessed by the participating leaders.

The Sixth China Charity Fair is co-organized by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, and the China Charity Alliance. As the first charity fair after the 19th CPC National Congress, with guideline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and theme of "Focus on Targeted Poverty Alleviation and Create a Better Life", this CCF will comprehensively implement the spirit of  the 19th CPC National Congress and the decision and deployment concerning poverty alleviation and philanthropy, focus on the areas stricken by extreme poverty and special disadvantaged group as well as the poverty alleviation needs, and guide and encourage the social forces in participating the poverty alleviation on areas stricken by extreme poverty to earnestly fulfill the mission and responsibility of philanthropy in building a moderately well-off society in an all-round way by means of presentation and exchange, conference and forum and resources matching. From this year, CCF will unswervingly focus on targeted poverty alleviation for three consecutive years. 

789 institutions, 876 projects and 312 consumer products out of the 2,147 declared projects and institutions are selected this time to exhibit the model projects in the field of social poverty alleviation through channels including mobilization in each organizer, targeted invitation, international cooperation exhibition invitation and ground promotion. .

Centered on the fair theme and positioning, four special exhibition areas: "Special Exhibition Area for Achievements of Brand Projects ", showcasing the prominent project achievements that have achieved remarkable success and widespread impact. "Special Promotion Area of Project for Areas Stricken by Extreme Poverty" displays the diversified needs of the poverty alleviation project in such areas to promote the effective and precise matching of the diversified needs of poverty-stricken areas with social resources. "Special Area for Consuming Products from Poverty Alleviation Projects" focuses on the products in targeted projects of each field to assist the development with consuming with the purpose of poverty alleviation. "Creative Products Experience Zone" displays the application of scientific and relevant products in the public welfare field so as to promote the cross-border cooperation between science and technology and philanthropy. 

Meanwhile, there are also nine thematic exhibition areas covering the fields of education, health, industry, science and technology, ecology, entrepreneurship, emphatically showcasing the new business types and new achievements of the targeted poverty alleviation works in each field and presenting the typical models, successful cases and prominent achievements in the field of social poverty alleviation. 

CCF has been attaching great importance to the combination of "exhibition" and "conference" all the time, of which the "exhibition" focuses on the achievements display and resources matching while "conference" places particular emphasis on the theory discussion and culture communication. Previous CCF have gathered top domestic experts and front-line practitioners in the industry to delve deeply into the innovation and development of philanthropy. Modern philanthropic methods, such as public interest venture, and charity trust, social influence, social enterprises and Internet public welfare have been rapidly promoted and applied through the facilitation of the fair, which reflects the leading and guidance function of theoretical discussion on the development of philanthropy. With the theme of targeted poverty alleviation, this CCF will delve deeply into the innovation of poverty alleviation in the social field, mobilize social forces to deeply participate in the poverty alleviation through special discussions and case sharing, and strive to provide Chinese wisdom and Chinese approach for global poverty reduction.

Focusing on the resources matching of areas stricken by extreme poverty like "Three Regions and Three Prefectures", this CCF will collect the demands of poverty alleviation projects toward the whole country especially the extremely poverty-stricken areas so as to prepare the Sixth China Charity Fair Project Promotion Manual. The manual includes 372 projects in three categories of project for extremely poverty-stricken area, project for other poverty-stricken area and project of poverty alleviation through consumption and clearly lists the basic information, assist demands, estimated amount, performing organization and contact information of each project so as to mobilize and guide the social forces to lay more emphasis on the extremely poverty-stricken area and mobilize the matching and cooperation between the social funds, professional talents, cut-edging technology and project service and resources with the extremely poverty-stricken area. 

On the opening day, a total of 7 matched major poverty alleviation projects are that Evergrande Group donated RMB 11 billion to Bijie City, Guizhou Province for the aid plan for the whole city; Country Garden donated RMB 1.5 billion for the construction of Technology Industry (Poverty Alleviation) Base of Intelligent Building; Vanke donated RMB 200 million to Baise of Guangxi Province and Heyuan and Shanwei of Guangdong Province for the aid plan; Tencent donated RMB 100 million to Guangxi Baise Charity Society for constructing the stage one project of "Shenzhen Town"; China Minsheng Bank donated 13.23 million to China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation for supporting the "Financing Scheme of ME Public Welfare Innovation"; Sichuan Chengdu Languang Student Grants Foundation donated 10 million for Education Bureau of Liangshan Prefecture for the joint edu-aid project of "One Village One Child"; Aliyun established the technology association for the poverty alleviation with China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and other charity organizations to provide multiple technology supports for the public welfare organizations.

CCF has been successfully held for five years, bringing together 6877 charitable organizations with influence and innovative characteristics both at home and abroad, presenting and promoting nearly 30,000 brand charitable projects and matching 2185 projects, which has become an interactive platform for discussion of philanthropic theories and a platform for all-factor exchange of philanthropic resources and a platform of philanthropic cultural exchange and communication. It is the only national, comprehensive and international event in the philanthropy industry in China.
