From Shenzhen Special Zone Daily (Reporter: Zhou Yumeng) Yesterday, the 3th China Charity Information Technology Summit themed as “Better Technology, Better Charity” was held in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. At the Summit, many famous Internet companies and charity organizations such as Tencent, Ant Financial, Baidu, NGO2.0, 0fenbei.com, and Information Accessibility Research Association gathered here to share their excellent cases about how to well integrate with information technology and charity. During the Summit, China IT-Philanthropy Union released China IT-Philanthropy Development White Paper V3.0, which showed the huge power of “IT-Philanthropy” by demonstrating 30 typical cases about developing IT-Philanthropy, and led and mobilized more Internet companies with philanthropy spirit to participate in such undertakings so as to realize the vision of “Everyone Contributes to Philanthropy”.

 China IT-Philanthropy Union was established in 2016, which was jointly initiated by Tencent Volunteer, NPI NGO Development Center, Tencent Cloud, CSDN, and BottleDream. It is a supporting platform comprised of enterprises, social organizations, and individuals, and it is aimed to solve social issues via information technology solutions.

The China Information Technology & Charity Development White Paper V3.0 that was released in the Summit demonstrated the active exploration made by Tencent, Alibaba, Baidu, Toutiao, and many other technology companies in terms of philanthropy and introduced 30 typical cases of “IT-Philanthropy” classified into six major types including Poverty Alleviation Philanthropy, Social Science Philanthropy, Care Philanthropy, Philanthropy Platform, Lessons from Mistakes, and Philanthropy Lists.
