On October 29th, the Organizing Committee of the 9th China Charity Fair (hereinafter referred to as "CCF") held a video conference, which confirmed that the 9th CCF would be held from November 23rd to 25th with the theme of "Gathering Philanthropic Engagement to Promote Rural Revitalization" through online participation.
LI Jiheng, Director of the Organizing Committee and Minister of Civil Affairs; QIN Weizhong, Director of the Organizing Committee and Mayor of Shenzhen; HONG Tianyun, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee and Deputy Director of the National Rural Revitalization Administration; XIE Jingrong, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee and Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; SUN Shuopeng, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee and Vice President of the Red Cross Society of China; and CHEN Qing, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee, Director of the Office and Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, as well as other responsible comrades of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department, China Charity Alliance and other organizations attended the conference. WANG Aiwen, Deputy Director of the Organizing Committee and Vice Minister of Civil Affairs, presided over the conference.
The conference informed the progress of the overall plan and preparatory work and studied and deployed the overall plan and exhibition of the 9th CCF Online Exhibition. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, LI Jiheng fully affirmed the fruitful achievements made in the previous eight exhibitions and the preparatory work for the ninth session, and required the organizers to fully realize the special importance of the exhibition and make full efforts to carry out the exhibition with higher standards, more practical measures and greater effectiveness.
Li Jiheng stressed that the 9th session should closely focus on the theme of "Gathering Philanthropic Engagement to Promote Rural Revitalization", adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, comprehensively implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the second, third, fourth and fifth plenary sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and put into practice Xi Jinping's spirit of the important discussions on the "three rural issues", rural revitalization and philanthropy in all aspects including exhibition and exchange, conference and seminar, resource matching and consumption assistance for poverty alleviation. In addition, it should also focus on displaying the new practices and achievements of charity in consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and promoting rural revitalization, telling good stories and experiences of charity in comprehensively promoting rural revitalization, highlighting the great achievements of the Party in leading China's poverty alleviation and rural development, and gathering the majestic power to comprehensively promote rural revitalization and achieve common prosperity in rural areas.
LI required that, for comprehensive revitalization of rural industries, human resources, culture, ecology and organizations, and assistance for those vulnerable to returning to poverty, development and expansion of poverty alleviation industries, follow-up support for those relocated from inhospitable areas, it is necessary to accurately target the docking channels of charity projects, funds, products, professional talents, technology, information and other kinds of charity resources, build efficient and accurate docking bridges for both the supply and demand of charity resources, and construct a more dynamic and influential collaborative service network, so as to assist low-income people and less developed areas to share the fruits of economic and social development. Secondly, it shall improve the tracking and feedback mechanism of resource matching, strengthen the follow-up service of matching projects, ensure the implementation of projects on the ground, and effectively improve the effectiveness and quality of resource matching at the exhibition. Thirdly, it shall leverage the advantages of online digital exhibition, promote the transformation and upgrading of the exhibition, fully use the Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other new generation information technology to create "cloud display", "cloud meeting", "cloud docking" and "cloud experience", so as to expand the coverage and influence of the exhibition and to contribute to the process of rural revitalization.
LI stressed that the organizers and co-organizers should earnestly implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to normalize epidemic prevention and control, further improve the epidemic prevention and control as well as emergency response plan, dynamically adjust the prevention measures of exhibition activities in accordance with the joint prevention and control mechanism of the State Council as well as the requirements of the region; guard against all kinds of risks and ensure political and cyber security as well as the safety of the lives and property of participants. All the units should strengthen their leadership, make careful deployment, divide and collaborate, strengthen responsibilities, and strive to run the exhibition to new heights, new levels and new achievements, so as to make new contributions to the realization of the rural revitalization strategy and the second century goal.
Qin Weizhong said that Shenzhen shall thoroughly study and implement the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping on July 1st and a series of important instructions on promoting the development of charity, effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the organizer, accurately do a good job of epidemic prevention and control, actively innovate the form of exhibition, fully support the docking cooperation, widely carry out press publicity, and conduct all preparatory work with high standards and high quality, so as to strive to make it a wonderful, perfect and successful event. What’s more, Shenzhen will take the opportunity to hold the CCF, leverage the third distribution of charity, focus on building a modern public charity system, accelerate the sustainable and healthy development of charity in the new era, promote effective linkage between the consolidation and expansion of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, better assist the weak and the needy, and promote common prosperity, and strive to demonstrate its new role and new accomplishments in serving the overall development of the province.
