The year 2016 marks the first year of the decisive stage of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and the first year of the promulgation and implementation of China’s Charity Law. At present, philanthropy has ushered in a new era of promoting goodness with law, innovative development, openness and inclusiveness, and cross-boundary cooperation. With the theme of “Promoting Goodness with Law to Facilitate Poverty Alleviation”, and following the five development concepts of “innovation, coordination, green, openness and sharing", the 5th CCF is committed to providing a showcase for the whole chain of charity, a platform for matching all elements of charity resources, and an annual gathering of the charity industry with the participation of the whole society.
The main venue of this CCF is located in Hall 1 and Hall 6 of the Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of about 40,000 square meters. The first sub-venue, located in Haiyu Community, Bao'an District, covers an area of about 1,000 square meters, highlighting charity organizations and projects with community characteristics. More than 2,600 charity organizations, enterprises and individuals from 31 provinces, cities, autonomous regions, municipalities, and Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao, as well as 75 international non-profit organizations, signed up to participate in this CCF, an increase of 11% over the previous one..
This year's CCF highlights the theme of promoting goodness with law, increases the publicity of the charity law, and creates a good atmosphere for charity. The charity culture section has been set up for the first time, and a charity culture theme park has been opened for publicizing modern charity concepts and charity development achievements, so that charity can be more accessible to the communities and the people. At the same time, we will explore new formats, new carriers and new ways for public charities after the promulgation of the Charity Law, foster, support and guide public welfare organizations to operate in a standardized manner under the guidance of the Charity Law, and promote the healthy development of public charities.
