The competition is organized by the Organizing Committee of the China Charity Project Exchange and Exhibition and hosted by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau. Entrants are all legally established enterprises and institutions, social organizations, associations of colleges and universities, and other institutions (media/scientific research units, etc.) in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) that are committed to public welfare; rural revitalization organizations refer to organizations registered at or below the county level or organizations whose projects are implemented at or below the county level; priority support is given to project teams including college student village officials, young people returning to their hometowns to start their own businesses, western volunteer groups, and Rural entrepreneurial backbone and other rural young talents. A certificate must be issued by the relevant management department of the selected organization or project location. Each participating entity may not declare more than two projects; the top 30 projects of the previous China Charity Project Competition may not be repeated.

 

The competition is divided into the main competition and Shenzhen track, with a total grant of 2.7 million RMB, which is provided by the Shenzhen Welfare Lottery Fund. The main race is focused on the rural revitalization strategy and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and 20 innovative and replicable projects are selected nationwide to receive grants and empowerment training to lead the development of public charity. The main race set up 1.06 million yuan grant, five-star quality projects: 6, 100,000 yuan/each, total 600,000 yuan; four-star quality projects: 6, 50,000 yuan/each, total 300,000 yuan; three-star quality projects: 8, 20,000 yuan/each, total 160,000 yuan.

 

The Shenzhen track focuses on the urgent needs of "one old man and one small child" and the disadvantaged and weak people, and focuses on discovering 10 local or Shenzhen-based quality projects with certain effect, in order to promote the realization of "the old have care", "the young have good parenting" and "the weak have many people". The aim is to promote the realization of the livelihood goals of "care for the elderly", "good education for the young" and "support for the weak", and to create a quality brand project based on the livelihood of the people in Shenzhen. The China Charity Project Competition is a brand event based on the China Charity Fair. As a national, open platform for public welfare venture capital, it has been held for 10 consecutive sessions from 2012 to 2021, and has conducted many cutting-edge explorations to promote the practice of public welfare venture capital in China, funded and nurtured a number of socially influential emerging public welfare projects, and has become an important infrastructure for the fair in promoting the innovative development of public welfare.
